You can never have enough amazing vegan Banana Bread recipes. And this one's a keeper. Crunchy sesame crust, loads of chocolate and yummy banana.

  • 250 g vegan dark chocolate
  • 25 g sweet lupine flour
  • 250 g rice flour
  • 180 g buckwheat flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp ginger, cloves, nutmeg (each)
  • 550 g very ripe bananas (about 5-6 pc.)
  • 200 g maple syrup
  • 400 ml oat milk
  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C. Grease a 35cm long cake tin and sprinkle evenly with sesame seeds. Blend the bananas together with the maple syrup. Scrape out the vanilla pods and add to the mix. Add the oat milk and blend again. Chop the chocolate into small pieces and set aside.


  2. In case you don't have very ripe bananas - I'm talking black and smelly bananas - just add the bananas on a tray and bake for 10-15 minutes at about 100 degrees C.


  3. In a bowl, mix all different flours together. Add the baking powder, salt and the spices. Combine well. Now add the liquid banana mix and the chocolate pieces. Mix well. Pour the cake batter into the prepared tin and bake for about 55-60 minutes. When the cake is cooked, a skewer inserted into the centre should come out clean. Let cool off for about 10-15 minutes before transferring the banana bread to a wire rack to cool off completely.
